Privacy policy

This page explains what happens to your information when you use the Tinyshipworks Gift Finder at gifts.tinyshipworks.com.

No accounts, no database

You do not sign up, and we do not keep a database of users or quiz answers.

Your quiz answers

When you finish the quiz, your answers (for example who the gift is for, their age range, budget, styles, interests and anything you type in the optional box) are sent to our server so it can ask Google's Gemini AI service for gift ideas. Please do not type names, addresses or other personal details into the optional box.

Our server may keep a temporary cached copy of the generated ideas for identical answers for up to a day, to save on AI usage. This cache is not linked to you. Google processes the request under its own terms and privacy policy.

If the AI is not available, ideas come from a list built into the page and nothing is sent for them.

Basic abuse protection

To stop overuse, our server briefly counts requests by IP address in short-lived memory. This is not stored long term.

Share links

When you share a list, the gift ideas are packed into the link itself (the part after the # sign). That part is not sent to our server. Anyone with the link can see the list.

Hosting, fonts and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.

Amazon links

The "Find on Amazon" buttons open Amazon search results. Once you are on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply. Amazon may use cookies to know that you arrived from our link so we can earn a commission. See our affiliate disclosure.

Cookies

This site does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies.

Children

The gift finder is meant for adults shopping for gifts. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
